Set-up for driving success..!

The most common set-up error I see is to do with a golfer setting up tho the driver with their shoulders too open (to the left for right-handed golfers). This will invariably lead to a swing path that cuts across the ball, causing the ball to go from left to right.

The main reason this is such a common error is that the ball is forward in the stance, so if you point your chest at the ball, your shoulders will be open.

A good drill is to point your chest at a tee one grip length behind the ball (you can even do a few set-ups putting the clubhead there).

This will definitely help you to get your shoulders aligned more squarely and produce straight shots.
